Workshop on Emission-free Air Transport through Superconductivity EFATS 2024
EFATS is an annual series of industrially oriented workshops on the application of cryogenic, superconducting, electric powertrains, and associated technologies to air transport, aiming to identify engineering and commercial challenges and opportunities.
Cryogenic electric technologies – in particular super / hyper conducting power systems and motors – are likely to be key to the electrification of larger and / or longer-range aircrafts.
At EFATS 2024, Christian Bentheimer will deliver a keynote on "Basics and Challenges of Developing Cryogenic Drive Inverter Systems for Hydrogen-powered Aircrafts" (Oct. 16, 12:00 h).
